Avec Lek & Sowat, nous partageons la même passion, l’exploration de lieux abandonnés. Lorsqu’ils sont venus pour l’édition de la lithographie Paper Trail, nous avons eu une demi-journée de libre, l’occasion idéale pour les emmener dans une usine de la banlieue stéphanoise.
Après une visite rapide du lieu, les deux artistes ont décidé de s’installer dans une salle encore vierge et sombre trouvant le mur bleu foncé intéressant. Lek avec sa bombe violette a tracé avec précision son lettrage, tandis que Sowat a créé un all over de tags de différentes couleurs jouant sur l’épaisseur du trait de la bombe. Suite à cette première pièce, ils se sont séparés investissant chacun un autre endroit. Sowat s’est fait un plaisir de peindre les vitres les transformant en vitraux tel un lieu de culte alors que Lek a trouvé un autre mur et a réalisé deux autres pièces en rouge dans un recoin extérieur. Nous vous laissons admirer en images le talent de Lek & Sowat qui seront en résidence pendant 1 an à la Villa Médicis à Rome.
